Our Story

I spent two decades watching nonprofit boards, leadership teams and cross-sector partnerships wrestle with big hearts, limited bandwidth and shifting systems. I saw the common thread: when values, people and structures aren’t aligned, good work drifts—and vision dims.

So in launching Equilibria Strategies, I made a promise: to walk beside change-makers, not above them; to craft strategy rooted in culture, built for longevity, and grounded in equity.

Meet Our Founder
Kelli Bohannon

Kelli C. Bohannon is the founder of Equilibria Strategies, where she helps mission-driven organizations strengthen strategy, governance, leadership, and operational systems.

For more than 20 years, Kelli has led nonprofit and association work at the national, regional, state, and local levels. Her experience spans executive leadership, board development, volunteer engagement, leadership coaching, program design, evaluation, communications, facilitation, and organizational change.

Kelli currently serves as Executive Director of the New Mexico Veterinary Medical Association and previously held senior leadership roles with the American College of Cardiology and the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association. Her work has contributed to major gains in revenue, retention, membership growth, leadership development, and organizational capacity.

Through Equilibria, Kelli partners with nonprofit leaders, boards, founders, and associations that want clear strategy, stronger decision-making, healthier systems, and work that can hold up over time. Her style is calm, direct, thoughtful, and practical. She helps leaders name what matters, make sense of complexity, and move forward with clarity.
