About Us
Equilibria Strategies provides strategic consulting for nonprofits rooted in culture, community, and purpose. We partner with teams to build strategies that are visionary, practical, and built to last, helping you navigate growth, align your team, and move your mission forward with integrity and impact.

Our Story
Equilibria Strategies was created to share the insights gained from over two decades of working inside mission-driven organizations, supporting nonprofits whose work fuels community life, cultural connection, and lasting change.

With a background in leadership, systems, and strategy—often behind the scenes—Equilibria’s founder has helped visionary teams turn bold ideas into measurable momentum. This practice grew from witnessing what’s possible when clarity and care are held together, and understanding what so often gets in the way.

Equilibria exists to offer strategy rooted in purpose, shaped in partnership, and built to last.
Our Practice
At Equilibria Strategies, we see strategy as a living system, not a static plan. It’s a relational, purpose-driven process that grows alongside your organization and evolves with the complex challenges you face. We begin not with spreadsheets, but with trust, context, and care.

We design from values, not just outcomes. That means asking the questions that matter now and for the long haul: “What does your community need today and what will it take to stay relevant and resilient over the next decade?” Our frameworks flex with your reality, helping you navigate the immediate while building toward your long-term vision.

Supporting community and culture-rooted nonprofits is not a niche, it’s our calling. These organizations don’t just serve, they sustain memory, belonging, and bold imagination. They’re often on the frontlines of what associations now recognize as “wicked problems," the layered, evolving issues that can’t be solved in a single plan cycle. We walk alongside our clients to co-create a strategy that is thoughtful, adaptable, and built to last.
Our Commitments
-
We believe strategy works best when co-created, not prescribed. Our process is collaborative, generative, and rooted in shared wisdom.
-
We move at the pace of trust. Relationships are the work. We create space for what wants to emerge, rather than forcing answers that aren’t ready.
-
We are guided by listening, values alignment, and cultural humility. Every engagement is an opportunity to deepen understanding and practice integrity.
-
We honor lived experience as vital leadership knowledge. Community insight, ancestral memory, and collective resilience shape our approach as much as data ever will.
-
We choose clarity over complexity. The best strategies are elegant, actionable, and energizing, not overproduced or out of reach.
-
We believe small can be powerful. Small organizations move culture. We don’t scale them up—we scale up their impact.
-
We are here for the long game. We’re not just interested in your next big move. We’re invested in your long-term health and evolution.
About Kelli Bohannon
Founder & Chief Thought Partner
Kelli Bohannon is a strategist, facilitator, and advisor with over 20 years of experience leading complex, mission-driven initiatives across global health, association management, and cultural organizing. She partners with organizations to bring structure to ambition and momentum to purpose, ensuring strategies don’t just get written, but get realized.

Kelli served on a cross-functional leadership team responsible for shaping the strategy behind professional communities that drive innovation in cardiovascular care. She designed and implemented enterprise-wide initiatives that supported a constituency of over 6,000 clinicians and researchers, advancing knowledge, amplifying research, and strengthening peer-to-peer engagement. Under her leadership, these communities produced clinical publications, delivered national educational events, and led multi-year, federally funded research initiatives and clinical trials. Her work contributed to building a dynamic ecosystem for cardiovascular professionals to collaborate, learn, and lead.
She later brought this systems-focused lens to the insurance and fintech sector, where she led enterprise engagement campaigns, stewarded large-scale CRM and digital platform transitions, and collaborated with the CEO on multi-year strategies to modernize operations and increase member value. Her initiatives strengthen infrastructure, deepen stakeholder engagement, and build long-term organizational resilience.
Kelli holds a B.S. in Applied Communication, focusing on intercultural, organizational, and public dynamics. She has completed executive training in public management, business strategy, and leadership from Emory University, McKinsey & Company, and the University of Illinois. She is pursuing a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in governance, equity, and systems-level change.
As the founder of Equilibria Strategies, Kelli partners with nonprofit and civic leaders navigating growth, change, and complexity. Known for her ability to translate vision into viable action, she brings perspective, structure, and steady partnership to every engagement, helping mission-driven teams do their most meaningful work with confidence and clarity.
